Description: Stavros Demosthenous Contractors, one of the leading contractors and developers in Limassol, recently requested the design and development of a logo for their latest ultra-luxurious residential complex in Limassol: Alkion Seafront Villas. The project is the epitome of exclusive urban living in Cyprus, in a prime location directly overlooking the sea. The name Alkion has its roots in Greek mythology. The particular legend refers to the halcyon birds, a type of kingfisher – often spotted in the Limassol district – which is synonymous with serenity, safety and happiness… just like the Alkion properties. The logo symbolizes the bird and what it stands for. Clear lines express untainted sophisticated. Different shades of blue reflect the gently lapping waves of the sea. The typeface is custom-designed. The logo as a whole incorporates, in a very subtle way, the nature of the development, from every perspective.
